Our impact so far
As of October 2026:
- 20+ families have received free Chromebooks.
- About 10 students have received free one-on-one volunteer tutoring.
Families apply for help, one application per child. Household income must be within national poverty guidelines, with proof such as a recent tax return or benefits letter. Our volunteer board reviews every application, and approval depends on that review and available funds. Apply for assistance.
Where donations go
| 50% | Chromebooks and learning materials |
| 40% | Tutoring program |
| 10% | Program operations |
What a gift does:
- $80 covers one refurbished Chromebook, shipped to a family.
- $100 covers the administrative costs of one student’s six-week tutoring program. Our tutors are volunteers.
- Any amount goes toward the next Chromebook or tutoring spot.
Gifts help qualifying families who have applied and been approved.
Strike HOPE is fully virtual, volunteer-powered and debt-free. Strike Services, Inc. donates back-office and logistics support, so donations can go to programs. Strike HOPE does not sell products or services. Donations are made through Zeffy, which is free for nonprofits, so Strike HOPE pays no platform fees.
Who oversees the work
A volunteer Board of Directors runs Strike HOPE. Board members are not paid. Each month the board reviews every application, and it approves all spending. Strike HOPE holds Candid’s 2026 Platinum Seal of Transparency.
