What You Can Apply For
Chromebook
A Chromebook for online lessons and schoolwork, shipped directly to your home.
Tutoring
A vetted volunteer tutor who meets with your child one-on-one over Google Meet, once a week for about 6 weeks, 30 to 60 minutes per session.
How the Process Works
- Fill out the application below, one per child.
- Upload proof of household income, such as a recent tax return or benefits letter.
- Our Board of Directors reviews applications once a month.
- We email or text you with a decision. Because we rely on donations, approved families may be placed on a short waitlist until funds or a tutor are available.
- Your Chromebook ships, or your tutor contacts you to set a weekly time.
Common Questions
Does it cost anything? No. Everything Strike HOPE provides is free to eligible families.
Do I need to live in Oregon? No. We serve families anywhere in the U.S.
Can I apply for both a Chromebook and tutoring? Yes. Mark both on the application.
Is my information kept private? Yes. Your application is seen only by our board and the staff or volunteers who need it to help your child. Read our Privacy Policy.
